Mila Jansen: A Cannabis Legend
Mila Jansen, a legend in the cannabis world, began her journey in the winter of 1964 or 1965 in Amsterdam. At 20 years old, with a young daughter, Mila discovered hash in the port area of the city, long before the era of coffee shops. Her love for cannabis, particularly hash, ignited a passion that took her around the world to taste and procure the finest hash.
Her travels and experiences led to the creation of The Pollinator, a groundbreaking invention that separates trichomes from cannabis, revolutionizing the industry. The Pollinator’s screen-covered spinning drum gently separates crystals from the leaf, a process that significantly advanced cannabis cultivation and consumption.
High Tea with Mila at The Boardroom
We were incredibly honored to host this cannabis icon at The Boardroom! Following the success of our first location at 104 Harbord St., we are thrilled to announce the opening of our second location at 66 Fort York Blvd. The Boardroom offers a cozy, clean-air environment for cannabis enthusiasts over 19 in Toronto to smoke, relax, and enjoy their favorite herb.
Our specially designed negative air pressure system recycles the air every 120 seconds, ensuring a fresh and comfortable atmosphere. The Boardroom features a variety of entertainment options, including board games, video games (both retro and modern), Netflix, and streaming services. Our inviting décor and unique room designs create a warm and welcoming experience, complemented by light snacks and beverages, which can be infused with cannabis upon request.
A Grand Opening to Remember
The Boardroom at 66 Fort York Blvd. officially opened its doors with a private event: High Tea with Mila the Hash Queen. The space was transformed into a cannabis lover’s wonderland, complete with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Guests enjoyed special teas, Wesley Teas, French pastries like lemon tarts, macarons, cannolis, and an assortment of delicious cakes.
Upstairs, the team from Quasar Shisha set up multiple pipes for hash lovers eager to enjoy the event. Despite her celebrity status in the cannabis community, Mila was humble and gracious, taking the time to meet and chat with guests. Her presence and stories captivated everyone, making the event truly memorable.
